John was introduced into the family business at an early age. His father emphasized the importance of a strong work ethic and morals into his son. John started working on the sites and learning every aspect of the business from the ground up. He gradually progressed into the office learning the administration and job costing of the construction industry. John graduated from Ottawa University with a Bachelor of Commerce and then returned to the family business. He now oversees the entire company and plans for the future growth of Bassi Construction.

As the family patriarch, Mario set the tone for the path of Bassi Construction over 50 years ago. His unwavering commitment to quality and traditional values continues to permeate the offices and culture at Bassi. Be it an insightful piece of business advice or a home cooked meal for a weekly boardroom gathering, Mario's contributions and generosity continue without hesitation as the founder of Bassi Construction.

Albert, a licensed Professional Engineer, joined Bassi Construction after 20 years with one of Canada’s largest national building consulting engineering firms. In his previous capacity, Albert was the Regional Manager for North-Eastern Ontario and Principal-in-Charge of a vast range of structural and restoration engineering projects. He has extensive experience and success with project delivery, team management, business management and business development. Albert’s commitment, enthusiasm and positive attitude are reflected in everything he does, from business operations to working closely with clients. At Bassi, Albert oversees business operations and project delivery while supporting the continued growth of their team and services in new and existing market sectors.

Rozy is a Professional Engineer with over thirty years experience in project management. He has a proven track record in meeting project and cost objectives, while ensuring quality control. He is recognized as creative and entrepreneurial with the talent to resolve complex technical and budgetary challenges with innovative and unusual solutions. He has always been able to meet client expectations, regulatory restrictions, while fulfilling business needs. He has an established reputation for strong communication and negotiation skills with: consultants, engineers, regulators, purchasers, trades and suppliers. He is successful in always structuring beneficial business and financial joint ventures. He has instructed in building science for various governmental agencies as senior instructor and has received many commendations in this regard.

Over 20 years of project management and construction operations experience has enabled Steve to be a master in planning and task execution. It is this specialized skill set that has made him an invaluable asset to Bassi Construction. With a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in management and finance, Steve's involvement in any project ensures close attention to detail as well as identifying and creatively solving problems before they arise. In addition, he offers a complete understanding of all government legislations and health and safety regulations, a crucial component in managing multi-million dollar projects.

In January of 2003, looking to advance within the construction industry, Ben joined Bassi Construction Ltd. as an Estimator and Project Manager. In 1997, he graduated from a 3 year Civil Engineering Technology program at Algonquin College. During his schooling and continuing after graduation he worked in the Civil and Geotechnical Engineering side of construction providing him with a good understanding of Engineering Practices and Principles with a "do it right the first time" approach to any job.
Ben has 15 years of combined experience in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering and General Contracting, with a wide variety of general construction knowledge. His drive, determination and attention to detail ensure that every project meets the expectations of not only his clients but his own.

Mike joined Bassi Construction Ltd in 2009 and is the Production Manager in our Building Restoration Division. Mike brings with him over 25 years of experience in the construction industry. He specializes in concrete restoration and architectural concrete finishing. Mike's experience and expertise allows us to continue to establish and maintain excellent relationships with building owners and managers in the real estate market as well as trade contractors, architects and consultants. Mike is responsible for our on- going projects performance including: costs, schedule, quality and project status.

Eric has been working in the industry for over 10 years. His past experiences range from hands on carpentry to building inspection to project management. His academic background includes a college degree in architectural technologies and a master’s certificate in project management. The result is a highly skilled and determined project manager who is capable of understanding and controlling all aspects of a project. Close communication, forward thinking and high attention to detail ensure that the client’s expectations are met and that the projects are completed on time and within budget.

Colin joined Bassi Construction in 2015 with 15 years of experience in the construction industry. He specializes in the field of building sciences and building restoration. Colin has a unique blend of construction experience including working with a larger general contractor, a trade contractor, a consulting engineering firm, as well as being a business owner. His background provides an understanding of project management and the roles of stakeholders that is an asset for implementing any project. Colin is responsible for our ongoing projects performance including: costs, schedule, quality and project status. He has led and participated in the assessment, design and management of multimillion dollar restoration projects. Colin believes that effective communication, planning and high attention to detail ensure that projects are completed on time and budget and meet the client’s expectations.

With over 10 years of experience in the disaster restoration field, Andre learned the trade by starting at the bottom as a field technician, and worked my way up to become a Project Manager. From this he gained the knowledge and expertise to handle everything from a small basement flood to a multi-unit total loss fire. Andre holds IICRC certifications in Water Damage Restoration and Fire + Smoke Restoration as well as ABRA Certified in Bio-Recovery and Trauma/Crime Scene Cleanup. He iswell versed in Asbestos and Mould Abatement protocols as well as cost estimating. With an extensivebackground in multiple CAT Situations in various parts of Canada his primary goal has always been a strong emphasis on customer satisfaction.

Mike joined our team in 2015 and brought with him over 12 years of construction project management experience, with a strong emphasis in the mechanical and electrical industry. By working closely with the client and subtrades, Mike ensures that all facets of a project are completed within their time and financial constraints. He excels at establishing and maintaining good client relationships, and has proven himself to be a valuable member of our project management team.

Looking to advance within the construction industry, Ariel joined Bassi Construction Ltd. as a Project Manager. In 2006 he graduated from a 3 year Civil Engineering Technology program at Dawson College. During his schooling he operated a specialized project management / general contracting company specializing in construction project within occupied spaces. After graduation he worked as a project manager for a design build contractor providing him with a good understanding of Construction / Engineering Practices and Principles with a "quality before quantity" approach to any job. Ariel has over 10 years’ experience in the construction industry , with a wide variety of general construction knowledge. He believes highly in customer satisfaction and believes that any project is possible with proper communication, forward thinking and good team work. Ariel takes pride in each and every project no matter of the magnitude and pushes to achieve the clients expectations and deliver the project on time and on budget.

Zaf Kelekvan joined Basscon in 2015. Zaf brings a solid foundation of construction principles and extensive experience in the construction of institutional, commercial and industrial projects gained as a Construction Manager. Zaf specializes in pre-construction services. His detailed reviews of project documentation and ability to provide value engineering solutions in the early stages of a project are vital to ensuring timely start-up and completion. As Construction Manager, Zaf brings exceptional support services to the site personnel and the project team. Zaf is responsible for the coordination of project meetings and minutes, contractor coordination, document management and record controls, establishing project accounting procedures and supporting all project management processes.

Jordan joins Bassi Construction with over 10 years of experience in the Commercial Real Estate Industry. While being employed with one of the largest publicly traded commercial real estate firms, he assisted clients in the acquisition & disposition of their commercial real estate assets & commercial land. Jordan has earned a first class reputation for the quality of transparency & successful execution he provided to his clients. He has been involved in close to 500 million dollars worth of real estate transactions in Ottawa & holds strong relationships with Local & National property owners ranging from Institutional to Private Capital. Jordan understands client timelines, tenant demand & commercial construction due diligence. As Director of Business Development & Real Estate with Bassi, Jordan's role is to facilitate long term relationships & beneficial value for new & existing Bassi clients.

Andrei has 12 years’ construction experience ranges over a broad range of project types, from interior fit-ups, new building construction as well as high rise condominium projects in the ICI and residential sectors. His academic background includes a college degree in Architectural Technology. His high energy, leadership skills, and motivational aptitude and assertiveness has ensured continuous success in project delivery, procurement, value engineering, client relations and project turnover. Andrei is proven to be an invaluable asset to our construction team and all stakeholders on any project.

Manolo comes to us with ten years of construction management experience in the ICI industry. Project involvement ranges from interior office fit ups to building additions and new construction. Working directly for building owners and property managers, the services provided to clients array from single isolated repairs to full turnkey services including design build. Manolo obtained his Construction Technician Diploma in 2001 and his Civil Engineering Technology diploma a year later, again from Algonquin College. As project manager with both general contractor and as owner representative, Manolo has overseen projects from a $5K repair job to new construction in excess of $30M.
